Hygiene Archives
At Rejouis, we prioritize hygiene and the quality of our products π. That's why we pay special attention to our cleaning and sterilization process. This ensures that our toys meet stringent hygiene standards, which are even higher than those of new products typically sold.
This page describes our approach, which begins with the selection of toys that we list on our website. It continues with a focus on the execution of our cleaning and refurbishment protocol.
Recognizing the critical importance of hygiene in our offering, we maintain rigorous standards and continually improve these protocols.
We are always available to answer any questions you may have.
Toy Selection π
Phthalate-Free and Hypoallergenic Materials
Some sex toys sold on conventional platforms may contain materials that pose long-term health risks.
We rigorously verify the compositions provided by manufacturers to ensure that our toys are hypoallergenic and free from phthalates.
Phthalates are widely used in the industry to increase the flexibility of plastics. However, numerous studies have shown dramatic health implications, including increased risk of breast cancer, reduced fertility, and obesity.
In the sex toy industry, you may encounter toys made from "Jelly" materials containing these additives. While they may seem attractive, we strongly recommend avoiding them. π«Ά
This is why, at Rejouis, we only accept toys from manufacturers with clearly identified compositions that exclude any risk of phthalates or other harmful additives.
Materials and Shapes Suitable for Sterilization Protocol The selection of toys we resell directly correlates with our ability to ensure an effective cleaning and sterilization process that guarantees your safety during use.
Therefore, we limit materials to non-porous options:
- Medical-grade silicone
- Glass
- Metal
Some toys may also include ABS plastics in areas not in contact with the body, such as the lower part of the Gigi2 from Lelo. Our cleaning protocol effectively sterilizes all these surfaces and materials.
This strict approach means we decline certain toys. We cannot accept toys made from soft, porous materials, those where we doubt the quality of the silicone used, or those whose shape could in any way compromise the cleaning process.
For example, you won't find male masturbators like Fleshlight or very unusual shapes like the "corn cob" vibrator on Rejouis...
Cleaning Protocol β
Our protocol is developed in collaboration with medical personnel to ensure optimal sterilization of your toy.
The journey begins when we receive your toy at our laboratory in Normandy. Upon unpacking, it undergoes systematic disinfection using biodegradable disinfectant wipes and is inspected, charged, and photographed for listing.
Next, it enters a protocol tunnel for safe storage until reconditioning.
The protocol followed by the responsible person includes:
- Using hand sanitizer gel
- Wearing single-use latex gloves
- Washing the toy with clean water and Marseille soap using a dedicated basin and cloth
- Not drying the toy!
- Cleaning the toy with a microfiber cloth and a sufficient amount of natural, vegan-specific sex toy disinfectant (Goliate brand, visible here)
- Checking the toy's surface condition to ensure no fabric or debris remains, then air-drying it
- Wiping the toy's original packaging with a disinfectant wipe
- Now, the toy is "Ready to Rejoice π".
Certification Cleaning Seal
To eliminate all risks, we replace all storage bags with new linen bags β¨.
